The Parliament of the People's Republic of Catharinia is unicameral legislative organ of the People's Republic of Catharinia. It has 450 members who are elected by popular vote on block lists and it is composed by proportional representation. Deputies serve a four-year term. The president of the parliament is the person whose party has the most representatives. The parliament can vote new laws and ammend existing ones. It can however only change the constitution if the Central Committee of the CPCa agrees. In the past only socialist parties where allowed next to the Communist Party, but ever since Joeri Zjoekov is heading the country even opposition parties are allowed to seat in the parliament.

[edit] Socialist Confederation
The Popular Front has made the proposal to form a socialist confederation with the Socialist Kingdom of Catharinia and an independent Taluva. This confederation would stay open to expansion and have a central government in which all parties in the socialist confederation are presented. This proposal is in fact a change to the countries constitution and will need a seventyfive percent majority as well as the approval of the Communist Party of Catharinia. The proposal was accepted by the parliament. All members were present and voted pro (P), contra (C) or abstended their vote (A). Following are the voting results for this proposal.
